Alison Krauss, born in Decatur in Illinois on July 23, 1971, is an incredibly popular and rich Country Singer. LeAnn Kymes and Alison Kruss were the two newest Grammy Award winners. Alison Maria Krauss (born July 23 1971) is an American bluegrass-country singer and musician. Her career in music began as a young girl, having won local competitions at the age of 10 before recording her first album when she was 14 years old. In 1985, she joined Rounder Records and in 1987 she released her first solo album. She was asked to join the band with whom she performs Alison Krauss and Union Station and later released her first album in the group in 1989.
